Fume Album Review by SUBBA-CULTCHA
New band on me here and another one of those head scratching ones that you can't quite put a definite feeling to as to whether you like it or loathe it.

The intro track (Suicide Landscapes) for me was a weak opening intro as it really lacked body. An opener should either be belting from the opening note or if melodic intro's are to be used then they should be full bodied entities. This one felt a bit weak to be honest. The second track (The Lines Are Drawn) was a lot better except some of the hardcore punchy vocals didn't quite have the punch I am used to with bands but a lot better and the metal vocals were strong which complimented the riffery that was the music well and you can tell these guys have worked hard on this release but this, sadly washed over me without making any major impact and one that if I had bought would probably listen to twice at most and then either sell on or stay in my collection forever more and a day without a second thought given to it.

What worried me was some of the comparisons as to "fans of" or sounding like. I don't personally feel they sound like Sick Of It All or Terror. I can agree and feel a hint of Stampin' Ground but they are no where near as fast. I can't really think of any sound a likes myself (maybe that's a good thing) but sadly this failed to hit the mark. I would be interested in seeing how they develop / evolve and feel they may need to re-group and explore themselves as in what they want to achieve with their sound. Check them out on the web for yourself though, don't just take my opinion on it
